Studierådets kommentarer

The students appreciated the fact that the lab exercises were clearly connected to the lectures. It was also highly appreciated that the lecturers also were teaching the labs. The fact that the course was well-coordinated with other courses was also a positive experience.

According to the course evaluation, the students would have wanted more exercises/exercise questions to use as a complement to the compendium when studying for the exam. During the meeting, it was discussed whether to add more exercises in the schedule - something that both the teachers and the student representatives were positive of.

Kurslärarens kommenterer

From the CEQ and discussion with the students’ representatives, there is a general satisfaction with the way the course is run. In the details of the CEQ, 3 main points could be identified:
1. Need to emphasize the connection between the lectures’ content, the compendium and the laboratory practicals
We will make it clear at the introduction lecture that Enzyme technology has a focus on the labs (4.5pt) as compared to the theory (3pt) and as such the lectures and compendium are designed to help the laboratory exercises.
2. More exercises in preparation for the exam
We will consider including a second exercise session to extend and complement the current sessions.
3. What knowledge is required for the exam
This point is linked to some extent to point 1. We will clarify at the introduction lecture (and document it) what we expect the students to know for the exam.
